Alice Maude Bolwell was a civilian casualty of WW2
Alice was the daughter of Edward Walter and Emma Bolwell (nee Martin). Alice was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire, but was living with family relatives, the Braddon family in Forest Hill. Sadly Alice, Ada Lottie Braddon and her husband William Walter Ernest and their daughter Pamela Ada Braddon, along with another of Alice's relatives, Lewis Edward Bolwell, all perished as a result of an enemy air attack at Grierson Road, Forest Hill.
All except Lewis Bolwell* were laid to rest in a family grave at HITHER GREEN CEMETERY on the 24th September 1940. At the time of her passing Alice was 67 years of age.
