  	Monumental Inscription reads:- In memory of Matthew Trotter late of Lutterington who departed this life 19th Feb 1791 aged 72 years also Elizabeth his wife who departed this life 19th Jun 1790 aged 70 years This stone was erected by their surviving son, Matthew Trotter. Likewise to preserve the memory of Matthew Eales grandson of the above Matthew & Elizabeth Trotter & clerk of this parish for 20 years who departed this life 24th Dec 1826 aged 57 years also Elizabeth Eales widow of the above Matther Eales who departed this life 6th May 1836 aged 66 years Also Margaret Akenhead dau of the above named Elizabeth Eales who departed this life 10th Jan 1874 aged 98 years
